Mind: Mental Wellness
“You have the power to heal your life, and you need to know that. We think so often that we are helpless, but we're not. We always have the power of our minds…Claim and consciously use your power.”
- Louise L. Hay
Our minds are the most powerful tools we have. They control everything we do, from our thoughts and feelings to our actions and reactions. But our minds can also be our biggest enemies, leading us to make unhealthy choices and to sometimes suffer from stress, anxiety, and depression.
A healthy mind is essential for a healthy life and can help you think clearly, feel good, make good decisions, cope with stress, learn new things, and grow as a person.
Taking care of your mind is unquestionably an important part of a healthy and well-balanced life. By taking the time to nurture your mind, you can improve your overall well-being and experience more joy, peace, and happiness in your life. There are many ways to take care of your mind (that also benefit the rest of your being) including:
Getting enough sleep
Eating a healthy diet
Exercising regularly
Spending time in nature
Connecting with loved ones
Doing things that make you happy
Practicing mindfulness
Practicing gratitude and make a conscious effort to focus on the positive aspects of your life
Setting aside time each day for relaxation and de-stressing activities, such as yoga, meditation, or reading

Yoga Nidra
and Mental Wellness
Yoga nidra (also known as “yogic sleep”) is a structured method for creating complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation. During a session of yoga nidra, one can achieve relaxation so deep that the outside world seems to disappear, resulting in a “psychic sleep” or sleep in a state of inner awareness. In this state, between sleep and wakefulness, one is able to reach the subconscious and unconscious mind.
